The Aesthetic of Complexity:
Not only an
art gallery in the traditional sense, Viveza also
functions as an aesthetic laboratory of sorts,
presenting artistic research in fields new to art and
science both.
We believe that artists play an integral role in the evolution of human
thought and function by sculpting the sentiments and
archetypes of their times, shattering old taboos while
creating new ones, and leaving behind an aesthetic record
of an age for the edification of future generations. As the global network of markets and memes becomes more
intertwined, the complexity of the record left by a generation increases exponentially and the voice of
the artist is so amplified. For these reasons, we view
contemporary art as a complex system, rather than a
stand-alone discipline, and we hold that previously
popular notions of a collective unconscious well
of artistic inspiration must now contend with the
collective consciousness of the Information Age.
Viveza Art:
Taking a collaborative, think-tank approach to the
curatorial process, we scour the Internet, print media,
art fairs and submissions to identify trends in the art
world that exemplify the complexity found in all
systems; bringing together work by artists who take an
interdisciplinary approach to their artistry, utilize
innovative creative processes, and effectively realize
complex concepts.

"Contemporary artists ask questions of and about the world in which we live; they make us look
at it with fresh eyes and stimulate new ways of thinking about it; they provide pleasure,
inspiration, and intellectual enrichment. Contemporary art also provides a record its time
reflecting contemporary events, issues, and the diverse make-up of society; it is a rich
educational and creative resource for current and future generations."
